- at the early stage of your career
What can be funded
The Award supports a published writer or playwright at an early stage of their career to create new work.
The Award is $25,000 and is a contribution towards living costs, materials, and resources to develop a new work.

How to apply
You need to apply to the Creative Fellowship Fund - Round 2 to be considered for the Louis Johnson New Writer's Bursary.
You do not need to reference this bursary in your application because all applications that meet the criteria for the award will be considered.
