How to complete and submit 6-month reports by 31 January and 31 July
6-month reports are required for all Tōtara and Kahikatea funded organisations. 6 Month Reports are completed and submitted twice a year, due 31 July and 31 January.
Steps

Sign in to your CNZ account and open your Report dashboard to see the reports that you need to complete.
If you cannot see your organisation's reports, or you need another person to be able to see the reports, contact investments@creativenz.govt.nz

Click Edit to open the relevant 6-month report.
- Complete the following parts of the report, remembering to click Save regularly to keep your work safe:

Commentary
This section is for you to provide us with some narrative on what you've been up to over the last six months.
You can type your response into the Commentary section of the report or attach it as a document in the Attachments section.
We use this information to assess your performance again the following criteria: Quality, Alignment to Creative New Zealand's strategies, Financial health and Organisational health.
Provide your commentary for the 6-month period using each of the criteria as headings, referring to Investment programme guidelines - Assessment criteria
To make sure we receive the information we need to make a well-informed assessment, we've created a list of prompts that you can use to respond to the criteria. Refer to the prompts template and feel free to respond directly to these questions.

Activities
Click Edit to edit an approved activity or click +Add new activity to add a new one.
Add the actual dates and activity statistics for all funded activities that took place during the 6-month period, referring to the Investment programme guidelines - Activity reporting
Note that we may have adjusted the projected statistics you entered in November to make sure your activities are correctly accounted for in our Annual Report and reporting to the Ministry of Culture and Heritage. If something doesn't look right, contact investments@creativenz.govt.nz -
Budget
Click Edit to complete the actual figures for your organisation's Statement of financial performance and Statement of financial position, referring to the Investment programme guidelines - Budget reporting -
Attachments
Click + Add new attachment to attach board minutes from the reporting period and your responses to our reporting prompts. You can also attach information such as performance reports, management reports, organisational planning documents, policies etc.
Please be considerate of the additional information you provide. We have a narrow window to process the reports and want to make sure we're absorbing the most important information and able to provide useful feedback in return.
