Peer assessment – the assessment of funding applications by people who do not work at Creative New Zealand – is critical to our assessment and decision-making process for funding. It provides input and perspectives from people with specialist knowledge of specific artforms and cultural contexts.
You can nominate yourself or someone else to become a peer assessor. We are after people who:
- are keen to make a difference in the arts in Aotearoa and help develop the New Zealand arts sector
- have an in-depth understanding of the art sector and current artform practice, including international trends and markets, or specialist knowledge of an area of arts development or capability building.
Use the online nomination form to nominate a peer assessor.
Read the Peer Assessor Terms and Conditions for more information on the role of external assessors, including the selection process, the workload, and our conflict of interest policy.
