Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa is proud to announce the next Pacific Arts Summit will take place 11 – 13 October at Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington.

This is a chance to bring our Pasifika artists, practitioners and organisations from across the motu together in person to reconnect and talanoa about the future of Pacific arts.

A key focus of the summit will be looking at Creative New Zealand’s Pacific Arts Strategy 2018-2023 and its implementation over the past five years, as well as getting input into the next five year strategy.

“It’s crucial to bring our people together, especially after COVID, to fono, talanoa and be together physically to help ensure that the va’a is steered in a direction that we can all be proud of” says Makerita Urale, Senior Manager for Pacific Arts.

“It’s been four years since the last Summit, so we want to gather to celebrate the achievements of the strategy and get feedback from our community about how we can do things better going forward for the next five years. It’s going to be an exciting event.”

More information will be made available in the coming weeks, including the full programme, speaker announcements and registration details.
