Under Creative New Zealand’s national strategy for ngā toi Māori, we have partnered with Boosted to pilot support for ringatoi Māori in crowdfunding their creative projects.

Boosted is Aotearoa’s only arts-dedicated crowdfunding platform, established by Te Tumu Toi, The Arts Foundation.

Now Boosted and Creative New Zealand are working together to boost investment in ringatoi and ngā toi Māori projects across the motu.

Paula Carr, Acting Chief Executive / Pou Whakahaere and Senior Manager, Māori Strategy and Partnerships encourages Māori artists across disciplines to apply.

E Tū Toi is a way for the public to directly support ngā toi Māori and ringatoi to be visible everywhere, and highly valuable as part of the distinct identity of Aotearoa. Boosted demonstrates the power of community through crowdfunding. Ringatoi will set their financial target and once that target is achieved through the many small contributions, Creative New Zealand’s match-funding kicks in,” Paula says.

The first campaign under the partnership will be live from 1 July – 1 August 2025, with match funding provided by Creative New Zealand’s national strategy for ngā toi Māori to a total of $50,000.
