Christchurch City Council encourages citizens to help create their future

The Christchurch City Council wants Ōtautahi to become a truly creative city that embraces the arts so it’s asking its citizens to contribute to the development of a new, city-wide arts strategy.

Its goal is to create a broad, inclusive strategy that covers all forms of arts and creativity in Ōtautahi so that in 10 years it has a reputation as a truly creative city that embraces the arts.

With support from Creative New Zealand, ChristchurchNZ, the Rata Foundation, the education sector, and the arts sector, they’re encouraging locals to help shape the city’s creative future.

In July and August will be a series of workshops in and around the city, where people can have their say in person, and those who can’t make it along are encouraged to do this online.

Find out more about how you can contribute on the Christchurch City Council website.
