Creative New Zealand and the British Council New Zealand are calling for applications from New Zealand arts practitioners to participate in the Edinburgh Festivals International Delegate Programme, Momentum, between 15 - 21 August 2016.
Momentum takes place in Edinburgh each August and is delivered through a partnership between British Council Scotland, Festivals Edinburgh and Creative Scotland. The programme provides a dynamic platform for key cultural players to engage and build relationships with organisations and individuals in Edinburgh, the World’s leading festival city.
Selected delegates will be able to take advantage of a range of activities; from bespoke itinerary planning and access to in-demand shows, to high-level meetings with relevant cultural figures.
The programme is an opportunity for New Zealanders to build relationships with artists, producers, curators and cultural partners from Scotland, the United Kingdom, and internationally.
Creative New Zealand and British Council New Zealand will support up to six New Zealanders to take part in Momentum this year from 15 - 21 August. Creative New Zealand is calling for applications from mid-career New Zealand producers, curators, directors or artists with tour-ready work, or strategic partners who are interested in pursuing collaborative or exchange projects.
The selected delegates will receive up to $3,200 towards travel, plus paid accommodation for six nights in Edinburgh as well as a contribution towards tickets.
This is the fourth year that Creative New Zealand and the British Council have supported New Zealand arts practitioners to take part in the Momentum programme.
Applications close 5pm, Friday 29 April 2016.
