Foundation North presents Northland Funding Expo

Is your organisation looking for funding? Do You need additional support or guidance?
Come and talk to us!

Foundation North is hosting an expo showcasing funding opportunities for community organisations and projects. The programme includes 2 parallel streams – funders or workshops.

You can choose whether you would like to listen to a funder or participate in a workshop. A similar programme will operate in the afternoon if you would like to attend a session you missed in the morning! Funders will also have information stands available to have a chat to one of the staff and get first-hand information or alternatively collect information to take away.

Foundation North will be accompanied by fellow funders from the Department of Internal Affairs and the Community Operations Group, Whangarei District Council, Creative New Zealand, and the Oxford Sports Trust. If you are more interested in our workshop stream, guest speakers will present on useful topics for not-for-profit organisations such as Communications and Marketing, Fundraising Strategies, Governance, and on the new requirements for reporting under the Financial Reporting Standards that apply to Charities.

Craig Fisher from RSMNZ will deliver a key-note speech during our lunch (provided) break. He has been an integral advocate for promoting changes to the financial reporting standards for the Not for Profit Sector. Craig continues to work closely with Charities and a range of community funders. He has a wealth of knowledge to share with us all on how Charities need to work in this changed environment. Craig is an Audit Partner, and Chairman of the RSM New Zealand group. He has over 20 years of public accountancy experience and has significant interest and recognised expertise in not-for-profit and charitable organisations. Craig has considerable audit experience across a wide variety of clients including commercial clients such as listed companies and issuers and public sector entities.

If your would like to attend the expo, please register by Wednesday 30th of November 2016 or click here to register.
