The NZ Society of Authors now offers a dedicated mentorship for one tertiary writing student. This exciting opportunity offers a student 20 hours of one-on-one guidance from an experienced, published author or editor.
Many new writers say they benefit enormously from having a senior writer affirm that they have the ability to write well. Mentoring can take place either face-to-face, by telephone, email, Skype, or a combination of the above.
The recipient of this mentorship can be from anywhere in New Zealand and will have completed their writing course, degree or diploma in 2012.
Last year’s recipient was Victoria O’Sullivan who came to the programme from completing her Master of Creative Writing at Auckland University.
Deadline for applications is 5pm, 18 February
