In a first for a New Zealand arts and live entertainment company, Auckland Theatre Company is using Twitter to blog live from a Question and Answer session with the cast and director of God of Carnage after the show next Monday night.
Auckland Theatre Company’s audience forums have always been popular with a dedicated group of subscribers and the advent of new technology allows us to throw these events open to a wider audience. It’s the first step in using online technology to give people better access to the behind the scenes going ons of a professional theatre company.
As well as following the discussion taking place in the theatre, followers on twitter will be able to tweet questions to the actors and creative team.
As the season sponsor of God of Carnage, Metro magazine are also taking part in the forum. Metro’s arts editor Frances Morton will be on stage with the cast and will take part in the Q and A session on stage with the cast Dave Fane, Miranda Harcourt, Peter Elliot and Hera Dunleavy and director Colin McColl.
People can follow the after show chat on at Auckland Theatre Company’s Twitter feed http://twitter.com/AklandTheatreCo on Monday 27 July from 8pm.
