An intimate evening with some of New Zealand’s most loved songwriters.
Featuring Don McGlashan, Shayne Carter, Anika Moa & Buzz Moller.
APRA and the Q Theatre are proud to present In House, a night of songs and conversations with four of New Zealand’s most acclaimed songwriters.
The concert will showcase new and well-known songs from Don McGlashan, Shayne Carter, Anika Moa and Buzz Moller (Voom). The proceeds from In House will go to The New Zealand Music Foundation.
Each artist will perform solo or with the acoustic backing of the others - much like a house concert – and each will respond to a series of “starting points”: one of their songs that the audience would expect, one they wouldn’t, a new song that they want to try out and a cover version that made them think about their city in a different way. This might be a song by an Aucklander, or a song about Auckland, or just a song that made them see Auckland in a different light.
“I am so pleased that these three exceptional artists have agreed to join me in a night that will be something special. The world of a songwriter can be a weird and wonderful one, and we want to give the audience an insight into where these songs come from and how they help ‘colour in’ the place where we all live,” says Don McGlashan.
“We’re thrilled to be supporting the New Zealand Music Foundation, a cause that should be close to every music-loving New Zealander’s heart. We hope that In House will become an annual event.”

The New Zealand Music Foundation is a not-for-profit Charitable Trust. They provide financial support to entities that work toward enriching the lives of New Zealanders in need through music and they also provide emergency financial assistance to members of the New Zealand music community who are in need, or suffering hardship, illness or distress.
