A live show blending cinema, theatre and sound design will have a special performance before treading the German floorboards next month.
Leon Radojkovic's Live Live Cinema: Carnival of Souls is going to Frankfurt, Germany in October, as part of the New Zealand Arts and Cultural Programme which supports New Zealand's Guest of Honour Status.
Live Live Cinema: Carnival of Souls deploys musicians, actors, and a lone foley artist to create an immersive audio/visual environment.
Before the touring party of 15 leave for Frankfurt, they will give an intimate lounge presentation of their production at Auckland's Basement Theatre. The show first opened in the Mercury and Civic Theatres during the 2011 Auckland Arts Festival. It has since toured to New Plymouth, Sydney, Perth, Albany (WA).
This one off performance is an industry supported venture to remember Ben Stockwell. He was the extremely talented audio engineer "whose work on this production made it what it is". Ben tragically passed away in April. Ticket proceeds will go to his young family.
