Who can apply
Individual performing arts practitioners who:
- are New Zealand citizens or Permanent Residents
- have an established practice in dance, music, or theatre
- are seeking international networking and professional development, and opportunities to tour work internationally
- are willing to travel as part of a delegation to an international marketplace selected by Creative New Zealand, taking place between August and December 2024
- are willing to share the knowledge gained from attending a market, with performing arts communities in New Zealand, through events hosted by Creative New Zealand
Our priority is to support individuals attending a performing arts market for the first time. Individuals applying to attend a market for a second time must demonstrate the value of return attendance.
Practitioners who work in groups or collectives must apply individually.
Permanent, full-time staff members of Toi Tōtara Haemata or Toi Uru Kahikatea investment organisations cannot apply. However, part-time, fixed-term employees or contractors of Toi Tōtara Haemata or Toi Uru Kahikatea investment organisations can apply.

Successful applicants will be offered a grant between $2,500 and $8,000, depending on the location, as a financial contribution towards:
- flights
- accommodation
- registration fees
- per diems
What to include in your application
Your application needs to include responses to the following three questions:
