Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa is refreshing its medium-term national strategy for ngā toi Māori. This important mahi usually happens every 5 years and involves us listening to updates on the challenges, gaps and opportunities from the perspectives of our sector.
The Toi Ora Strategy 2025-2030 (Draft) sets out Creative New Zealand’s proposed moemoeā, goals and priorities over the next five years to 2030 to deliver on our commitment to equitable opportunities and outcomes for Māori artists, practitioners and Māori arts communities.
Whakahoki whakaaro - Have your say
We’re seeking feedback on our draft strategy by 11.59pm on Sunday 10 August 2025.
The discussion paper that provides information on context and whakapapa, and the draft strategy itself are below.
We’re holding a online webinar session Thursday 7 August (12pm) 2025 to introduce the draft strategy and answer questions.
