With the recent 22 million received from the Government we’re providing detail about how the additional funding will support funding rounds coming up in 2023.

We’re also outlining how the new festivals funding will work:

The purpose of this funding is to support established festivals that celebrate the life experiences, stories, cultures and regional identities of New Zealanders, and that continue to be impacted by the effects of COVID-19 in 2023.

Dedicated festival funding will run alongside Annual Arts Grants and is for established festivals who meet specific eligibility criteria; the key criteria being that they must have presented at least one festival within the past five years.

Because of this dedicated funding, established festivals will not be able to apply to Annual Arts Grants or Arts Grants. We’ll provide further details, including eligibility criteria about these funds next week.
