Pelenakeke Brown, Joshua Faleatua, Tanu Gago, Ahilapalapa Rands, and Sandy Wakefield have been selected for the 2023 Digital Fellowship programme.
Developed through our Pacific Arts Strategy and International Programme,this is an opportunity for artists to collaborate with each other and five Australian arts practitioners, to explore and co-develop their digital practice. The programme is administered and delivered by Australia Council for the Arts in collaboration with Creative New Zealand and includes dedicated positions for Pasifika, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts practitioners.
Now in its second year, this opportunity supports New Zealand arts practitioners to build new skills and networks in the Digital Moana space.
The fellowship prioritises collaborative learning, as well as individual practice development, through a series of curated group sessions, one-to-one mentoring, and financial investment for each participant.
The six-month programme gets underway in February 2023 with an in-person gathering in Aotearoa, online gatherings in April and May and runs through to June 2023.
