Videos and resources from The Big Conversation 2016

The Big Conversation - Nui te Kōrero was held in Christchurch on 16 June 2016. Over 170 arts organisations and practitioners from across New Zealand attended the event.

This year’s theme, Embracing Arts, Embracing Audiences Awhi mai, Awhi atu explored the need to hold audiences more closely to our organisations. Rather than seeing audiences as ‘customers’ that we can sell a product to we need to focus on building communities around our institutions. The programme both challenged our practice and celebrated success stories in finding ways to make humanity central to our work.

There was a real buzz throughout the day and organisations had a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues in the sector. Be sure to check out the Twitter feed and the photos from the day on Facebook (note: you’ll need to be logged in to view the photos).
