Curatorial Internship a partnership of Creative New Zealand with The Blumhardt Foundation and TheNewDowse

The curatorial internship has been developed in order to nurture curatorial interest and expertise in the areas of applied arts and design. Applications are now invited for the 4th Curatorial Internship which will begin no earlier than May 2011. Applications close 5pm on Monday 29 November 2010.

Detailed application information can be found on The Big Idea site.

You are required to submit a CV and cover letter as the first stage of the process and it is important that these demonstrate your background, your skill set, your areas of interest – in short, what you would bring to this development opportunity. Once a short list of applicants has been made, interviews will be held to discuss potential curatorial projects.

It is anticipated that the selection process will be concluded no later than early in 2011. There is a small stipend as part of the role and the successful candidate would be expected to complete the internship on site at TheNewDowse in Lower Hutt. The internship is for 3 months full-time although it is possible that a part-time internship up to 6 months internship could be considered.
