Jesse James and the Outlaws support the Children on the Edge Little Lotus Project

The Wellington folk music band - Jesse James and the Outlaws  - who Creative New Zealand funded last year towards their debut album release tour, are part of group of musicians who have offered up some of their finest tracks to support the Children on the Edge ‘Little Lotus Project'.  This is a collaborative project linking artists with refugee and migrant children on the Thai/Burma border.

The track - Mr In Charge, alongside work from Melbourne and Oregon, are available for $15 or more from the Little Lotus Project website with all proceeds going directly towards children's ongoing welfare and education.

Mr In Charge is from the new debut album from Jessie James and the Outlaws. The Price of Gum is a strong and compelling debut album from Jessie James and the Outlaws that marries a rich and clean analogue production aesthetic with evocative songs that reflect the spirit of our troubled times. Being Outlaws, they don’t like to be pinned down, but can be described as alt- electric folk reminiscent of late 60’s and 70’s folk, pop and psychedelia; think Neil Young, the Phoenix Foundation and Gillian Welch.

These powerful songs were formed out of a deep musical relationship between songwriter and singer Jessie Moss and co-producer, arranger, and pianist James Coyle.
