Call for Expressions of Interest to attend the second annual Sounds Aotearoa in March 2011

Creative New Zealand, in association with Sounds Aotearoa New Zealand Music Expo, is calling for expressions of interest from managers andagents of New Zealand artists and self-managed artists for grants to attend the second annual Sounds Aotearoa in March 2011.

Grants include registration and (where applicable) a contribution towards travel and accommodation costs.

What is Sounds Aotearoa?
Sounds Aotearoa is a two-day music event that has three main elements to it - a conference, an expo and artist showcases/performances.

Sounds Aotearoa is designed to: facilitate exposure, networking, capacity building, and business promotion. The two-day event provides an opportunity for musicians, promoters, managers and others to work with industry experts to learn and share with one another. It also enables the public to enjoy some performances by leading musicians.

Who can apply?
Managers, agents and self-managed artists representing international-ready musicians and/or bands can apply for funding to attend Sounds Aotearoa.
