Maori Arts Internship Programme 2016

Toi Māori Aotearoa, with support from Creative New Zealand, is pleased to be running the Māori Arts Internship (MAI) Programme again in 2016.

The MAI Programme aims to develop future Māori arts managers, professionals and producers, to support Māori arts infrastructure, and establish pathways for emerging Māori who wish to embark on a career in the arts. 

Toi Māorii have three paid internships available for people who are keen to build administration and management experience in the arts area of their choice. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic people who are serious about making a career from the arts.

The interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a working environment. It will be great for those looking to explore or gain the relevant knowledge and skills required to enter into a career in the arts. 

Important Dates: 

Applications Open:6 October 2015
Applications Close: 16 November 2015
Interview dates: 7 - 9 December 2015
Placements begin: 1 February 2016 (dates may vary slightly) 
Placement Ends: 3 June 2016 (dates may vary slightly) 
Location: Nationwide - New Zealand (*Please note that locations may vary and will be dependant on the Host organisation. There may also be a possibility of relocating to a different city).                      

*Please note that you will need to ensure that you are available during the interview dates and placement dates.
