Call for proposals for Te Manu Ka Tau 2013 Showcases

Creative New Zealand in association with the Auckland Arts Festival is calling for proposals from theatre and dance companies and artists to showcase work for international presenters during the Auckland Arts Festival between 11 – 14 March 2013.

The costs for this showcase opportunity will not be eligible for additional funding from either Creative New Zealand or the Auckland Arts Festival. Artists and organisations must be able to provide up to 20 minutes of a work in a suitable venue within 30 minutes drive of the central city Auckland. The work can be completed and ready for touring, or a work in progress.

Note: Although some presenters may visit Wellington during the period of their stay, Auckland based showcases are preferred.

The opportunity to submit a proposal closes at 5pm on Friday 18 January 2013 and decisions will be made by January 31. Late proposals will not be accepted. The proposals will be assessed by a panel made up of two Creative New Zealand staff, two members of Auckland Arts Festival team and one independent industry representative.

Criteria

The company must be a Creative New Zealand client; for example previously or currently funded though the Toi Tōtara Haemata, Toi Uru Kahikatea or Arts Grants/Quick Response funding processes. More criteria in the document below.
