NZSA are offering two new places for a Maori and a Pacific Island writer

The New Zealand Society of Authors are offering two new places on their Appraisal Service for a new places for a Maori and a Pacific Island writer.

The Manuscript Appraisal Service is open throughout the year, to both members and non-members. The service offers a first-step assessment that looks at content and writing style of an extract of writing, story, or selection of poetry.

In 2010 the service has one dedicated place for an appraisal containing significant Maori content, and another place for an appraisal containing significant Pacific Island content. This might be in the form of theme or subject matter, and might include Maori or Pacific Island languages.
Also new for this year is the addition of five places specifically for mid-career writers. This may be of benefit to a published writer who would like to try a new direction in their writing, or is simply feeling stale in their current project.

The service provides writers with a professional overview by an experiencedauthor or editor as outlined in a brief report. For full details email programmes@nzauthors.org.nz
