Call for Proposals Maori Arts Discussion Paper for the Waikato

Creative New Zealand has contracted Creative Waikato to publish a Māori Arts Discussion Paper: Toi Māori Waikato:  Kia Hua, Kia Puawai to address the question “What support and infrastructure is needed to develop Māori arts across the Waikato?”  Creative Waikato is now seeking a person or team that can deliver an outstanding strategic recommendations report that will help guide the future development of Māori arts in the Waikato region.

The paper will identify ideas and aspirations that already exist and key strategic opportunities for Māori arts in the Waikato region. It will pull together ideas and key stakeholders as well as practical next steps for regional Māori arts development.  Once complete it will be a powerful tool for advocacy for Māori arts development.

Skills and attributes required include strategic focus, consultation and communication skills, understanding iwi and the arts sector in the Waikato region and strong analytical skills. Applications close
