Maori Arts Internship Programme 2014 Calling for host organisations

Toi Māori Aotearoa, with support from Creative New Zealand are pleased to running the Māori Arts Internship (MAI) Programme in 2014.

The MAI Programme aims to develop future Māori arts managers, professionals and producers, to support Māori arts infrastructure, and establish pathways for emerging Māori who wish to embark on a career in the arts.

We will be looking for three interns who are keen to build experience – in the arts area of their choice.

We would like to invite arts organisations that would be interested in hosting an intern for a period of up to 20 weeks in 2014.  The interns will also receive a stipend during their placement.

By becoming a host organisation for an intern, your organisation will:

  • Give a person the opportunity to gain relevant work experience
  • Access potential future employees
  • Enhance the performance of your organisation by offering an internship to motivated individuals with enthusiasm and a passion for developing their career in the arts
  • Bring in fresh talent, fresh ideas and new thinking

Access newly trained interns with recent skills sets or skilled workers that add real value to your organisation.

Applications close 6th December
