The NZ at Edinburgh 2014 season continues to be a hit, with positive reviews, extra shows added and TV and radio appearances throughout the second week of the Festival Fringe.
Here are some of the highlights from week two:
- High demand for tickets for The Generation of Z and extra shows added!
- Praise from Scottish Metro for the New Zealand at Edinburgh 2014 season with The Factory receiving 5 stars, The Haka, Black Faggot and The Generation of Z - 4 stars, and Height of the Eiffel Tower 3 stars.
- A five star review for Black Faggot Kiwi/Samoan playwright Victor Rodgers has tapped into the humour, hurt and humanity of a range of beautifully drawn characters The Public Reviews
- Five Stars for Strange Resting Places: the best thing I’ve seen at the Fringe yet Broadway Baby
- Black Grace continue to garner great reviews:
- The List An exhilaratingly alert, lightening-struck style
- The Scotsman an impressive evening Four stars
- Nice reviews for Duck, Death and the Tulip:
- The Stage an atmosphere of spellbinding enchantment Four stars
- Fest An unusual and tender piece of children's theatre Four stars
- Scotsgay reviews On the Upside Down of the World Laurel Devine’s searing belief and passion shine out. .. This show rightly received prolonged applause and cheers I defy anyone to see it and not be moved. Four stars
- A story about Kapa Haka performer, Carl Ross and his Scots ancestry runs in The Times and Te Kanawa Ngarotata, takes a guest space at Love Hate Tattoo parlour in Newington and makes the Edinburgh News. HE’s a star of the biggest show in town – and now a Maori performer is getting to grips with a totally different kind of tattoo to ensure he leaves a permanent mark of his culture on the Capital.

The Edinburgh International Arts Festival is now underway, with Lemi Ponisafio’s MAU dance company opening I AM this weekend and Michael Houston performing from 19th August.
