Release of Canterbury Earthquake Fundraiser compilation CD

The loss and images of Canterbury’s recent devastating series of earthquakes, affected all of New Zealand and prompted music industry independents Aly Cook and Johnny Croot to work together, pull resources and favours on a volunteer basis and at speed to compile a unique compilation CD album to help the people of Christchurch.

We Will Rise Again is available to purchase in New World Supermarkets from Taupo North and is now for sale on the website http://www.wewillriseagain.com/

All proceeds from the sale of the CD are being donated to New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal. We Will Rise Again features a mix of iconic kiwi artists, international artists with special connection to New Zealand and new kiwi independent artists and will be for sale for the price of $10.00

The CD will be released in June with music from Lionel Richie andThe Commodores, The Hollies, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Ray Columbus and the Invaders, Gray Bartlett, Evan Silva, Midge Marsden, Liam Ryan, Hammond Gamble, Corben Simpson (blerta), Bryce Wastney, CVE, Martin Hope, Jenny Dwyer, Fourmyula, Fleur Jack, Dinah Lee, Frankie Stevens,Johnny Croot and Aly Cookhave a track each on what is a combination of loved favorites and new and exciting tracks.  

To make the CD possible required co-operation of all of the writers and publishing/record companies who allowed these songs to be on this CD without royalties enabling all proceeds of each sale to be donated to the New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal. These companies include Sony ATV, EMI, Liberation Mushroom, Native Tongues Publishing, Universal Music, Jenny music inc & Campbell Connelly, Hark music, Zodiac and Stebbings.
