Streamlining for Creative New Zealands investment programmes

Creative New Zealand is streamlining its application, assessment and reporting processes for its multi-year investment programmes -Toi Tōtara Haemata and Toi Uru Kahikatea.

Current Tōtara and Kahikatea organisations who meet high performance standards will not need to re-apply, but will be offered two-year contract extensions, subject to staff approval of their draft programme and budget.

New applicants to the programme

New applicants will be provided with an organisational ‘health-check’ to ensure they meet the requirements of the programmes before they apply.

The organisational ‘health-check’ will ensure new applicants meet financial and organisational requirements of the programmes and demonstrate alignment to Creative New Zealand’s strategic goals.

The changes have been made in response to feedback from the arts sector about the cost of compliance. This was received during Creative New Zealand’s independent Review of Investment Programmes.

Organisations intending to apply for investment funding for 2018, must contact a Creative New Zealand arts adviser no later than 7 December 2016. Organisations who do not contact Creative New Zealand by this date will be ineligible to apply.
