Objectspace Talkfest 2014

Objectspace’s Talkfest is an opportunity for makers, designers, students, teachers, curators, writers and collectors to come together and talk about current ideas. The 2014 Talkfest theme is Who’s Doing the Talking with a line-up of local and international makers, curators and commentators such as: Damian Skinner, Pauline Bern, Finn McCahon-Jones, Warwick Freeman, Linda Tyler, Richard Orjis, Martin Poppelwell, Lauren Winstone, Henry Davidson, 
Moyra Elliott, and  Andrew Clifford.

Keynote speaker is Ben Lignel who is visiting New Zealand as the guest of Objectspace and Creative New Zealand. Ben is an internationally known writer and curator, who is acknowledged as a leading thinker about contemporary craft. He is a member of Think Tank: A European Initiative for the Crafts and since 2013, he has been the Editor of Art Jewelry Forum. 

Talkfest begins with a Pecha Kucha event on the Friday night and continues with a range of presentations and discussions throughout Saturday. 

Objectspace is delighted that this year’s Talkfest is presented in collaboration with and at Auckland Museum. 

 

Hours:  Fri – 6.30-8.30pm, Sat – 11am – 4.30pm. Free admission.
