Call for proposals for the inaugural CIRCUIT Symposium

Dates: 29th ― 31st August 2013
Venue: Elam School of Fine Arts, The University of Auckland

Looking Back into the Future – a symposium presented by CIRCUIT Artist Film and Video Aotearoa New Zealand in association with Elam School of Fine Arts, National Institute of Creative Arts and Industries (NICAI), The University of Auckland. With the support of Creative New Zealand and the British Council.

With over 40 years of artist moving image production in New Zealand, what is the current state of local practice, and how do we create a dynamic and sustainable future?

The first CIRCUIT Symposium Looking Back into the Future will feature three days of discussion, screenings, and workshops with local and international speakers.

Keynote addresses will be given by Benjamin Cook, Director, LUX (UK) and Dr May Adadol Ingawanij, Senior Research Fellow, University of Westminster (UK).
