The Arts Organisations’ Development Programme (AODP) builds the capability of people working in the arts in New Zealand and, where necessary, helps improve the performance of arts organisations. For example, in 2008, a series of workshops were delivered through the AODP aimed at strengthening the governance and leadership skills of individuals working in the arts sector.
The AODP also supports the Theatre Investment Priorities initiative which enables theatre RFOs to collaborate with other arts organisations, commission and develop original New Zealand theatre, and offer internships in artistic direction and production.
